About the event
This course fulfills the second 8 hours of the Exposed Firearms Permit Course training per BSIS. You must also take the Exposed Firearms Permit (Classroom) as well to receive your Exposed Firearms Permit Course Certificate.
We cover the following topics in the class:
- Grip, stance, sights and trigger control
- Reloading with efficiency and speed
- Clearing stoppages in minimal time
- Strong hand only and weak hand shooting
- Drawing from the holster
- Conduct the BSIS Firearms Qualification Course
Documents you must bring:
- California Driver's License
- Citizenship documentation
- Guard Card
- Exposed Firearms Permit Initial Application
Required Equipment
- Pistol with 2+ magazines
- 350 rounds of ammunition
- Eye and ear protection
- Folding chair is recommended
- You must have an outside-the-waistband holster. Inside-the-waistband, appendix or SERPA holsters (index finger retention systems) are not allowed on the range. No exceptions.
Be on time. Those who arrive after the start time will not get credit for the course. You will have to re-book the course and forfeit your class fee.
